Donor Resources
With hundreds of nonprofits in the Greater Sacramento Region, finding one, or more, to support and champion need not be a daunting task.
The nonprofit sector fills demand for programs and services that are not profitable for businesses, or for which government does not have a role and/or resources to completely fulfill their role like religious activities, the arts, health and human services, the environment and education.
This doesn’t mean nonprofits can’t make a profit. In fact, nonprofits can and should make a profit. But in a nonprofit, the profits don’t go to board members, staff or shareholders. Instead, profits are invested back into programs and services that carry out the organization’s mission.
GiveLocalNow wants you to be comfortable giving, knowing that your support is going to a worthy cause. The resources listed below will help get you started. In addition, you can refer to our ever-growing list of Nonprofit Partners. These organizations are working with GiveLocalNow to spread charitable momentum that will benefit the region as a whole.
